Yew Tree Farm is the new farm of Mr Mason. It was formerly the farm of the Drewe family, where they were been tenants from the reign of George III to 1925, during the reign of George V. It is also part of the estate of Downton Abbey.

Biography[]

1922[]

Timothy Drewe aspires to take on the tenancy following his father's death, but his father left behind a huge unpaid debt which leads Mary Crawley and Tom Branson to decide to close the lease. But when Tim professes to Lord Grantham (who was not keen on the idea) he never knew of his father's debt and his belief in the partnership between the Drewes and Crawleys, Lord Grantham is willing to give him time to pay off the debt, even going so far as to pay the rest himself when Drewe cannot. Mary and Tom also give their support eventually.

When the Crawleys decide to move into pig farming, Drewe is given control over all the estate's pigs.
