The Lord Chamberlain is an officer of the Royal Household of England.

During the London season of 1923, the Lord Chamberlain announced the names of the ladies presented before King George V, his wife Mary of Teck, and their son and heir the Prince of Wales, among them Madeleine Allsopp and Rose MacClare.

Notes

  • The Lord Chamberlain in 1923 was Rowland Baring, 2nd Earl of Cromer. He served that position from 1922 to 1937.[1]
