Joanne Froggatt is an English actress born Aug. 21st 1980. She plays Anna Bates on Downton Abbey. Her parents are former shop owners who now have a farm in Whitby, and raise rare-breed sheep. Froggatt also appeared in the TV series: "Coronation Street", "The Bill", "A Touch of Frost", "Spooks", "Life on Mars", and "Robin Hood" (2009 as Kate). She will appear in the black comedy feature film "Filth", with James McAvoy, Jamie Bell, and Jim Broadbent.

Joanne Froggatt married in October of 2012.
