I would expect if Lady Sinderby ever found out about her husband's affair and illegitimate son, she might wish to divorce him.

Yeah and how would Atticus feel about that too
Had the show gone on or if there was a spin-off/movie about the next generation in say World War II, that could be something to explore. It was suggested in at least one other forum that the illegitimate son, Daniel Clark, be paired with Marigold (much like several fanfictions have been pairing Sybbie with Ethel Parks's son Charlie).
A very modern thought. Lady Sinderby had no profession and probably no money of her own. She lived in an age when it was regarded "natural" that men had mistresses and probably didn't want to change her life style and cause a scandal that would hurt also her son.
Before all, English divorce laws were very severe. An adultery was accepted as a cause but what if an adultery had happened years ago?
One thing you'd also have to remember -- eventually, Lord Sinderby has to croak it and Atticus, who loves his mother, would succeed and she'd probably be back in favour.
So, even if she did divorce him, she's not too badly off.
Would be interesting as they are both secretly love children (and both born from adultery, as Gregson was still married to his insane wife).

The reason Gregson was still married to an insane woman 'cause of a "can't divorce a crazy person" rule. And that was why he went to Germany 'cause the rule doesn't apply

True, but I imagine with Daniel Clark he might take it harder than Marigold if they each found out about their true parentage, since his father is still living and never had any intention, as far as we know, of being with Diana.
